Phase 1: CREATE (Forge the Spear)

Your first step is to create a single piece of content that is so valuable, it can carry your marketing efforts for an entire quarter.

  1. Select Your Pillar Topic: Choose a single, high-stakes topic that addresses a deep pain point for your ideal customer. Don't write about your product's features. Write about your customer's problems. Great pillar topics are often detailed competitive analyses, a breakdown of a market leader's growth strategy, or a definitive guide to solving a complex industry challenge.
  2. Write the Definitive Guide: This is not a 500-word blog post. This is your 2,500+ word masterpiece. Go deeper than anyone else. Conduct original research, include unique insights, and provide actionable frameworks. The goal is to create the single best resource on the internet for this specific topic.
  3. Optimize for Conversion: A pillar post is a lead generation asset. Make it easy for readers to take the next step. Ensure the article is highly readable with plenty of headings and visuals, and include clear calls-to-action throughout, whether that's to a relevant lead magnet (like our Playbook) or a Book a Strategy Call button.

Phase 2: CONNECT (Warm Up the Target)

A great article with no audience is a wasted effort. This phase is about identifying your ideal readers and getting on their radar before you share your content.

Now that you've created an incredible asset and are no longer a complete stranger, it's time for the outreach. The key is that you are not asking for anything; you are giving something valuable.
